The CVIOS website was rebuilt in February 2019 using "do-it-yourself" software from a company called Squarespace. Squarespace is easy to use and the layout and designs of the templates help the user create a very professional and modern website. The CVIOS now has four members who contribute to this website: Suzanne, Leslie, Keith and Melanie.
However, we have received feedback that some members are having difficulty finding all of the pages on the website. We realize this is likely because the menu bar might not be easy to find, especially if you're not used to exploring websites.
The Menu Bar
A Menu Bar or Navigation Bar is the website version of a "table of contents". We have created a screen capture of the CVIOS home page to show you how to find and open the "Menu" on the this page (but you will see the menu bar on EVERY page.)
For the record, there are 11 pages on the site at this time:
1. Home page
2. Events page (Shows upcoming and some past events)
3. News (Otherwise referred to as the "blog")
4. Annual Show and Sale
5. Newsletters
6. Orchid Doctor
7. Orchid Retailers and suppliers
8. A Wealth of Orchid Information
9. Forms
10. Membership form
11. Contact
There are also two "File" pages. These files each contain several pages.

- 2019 (This page often takes awhile to load because there are many, many photos that have to be downloaded onto the page)

BUTTONS
You can also use “buttons” to visit some of the pages on the website. Buttons are the coloured bubbles scattered throughout the site to link to a corresponding page.
Simply click the coloured bubble and you will be redirected to that page.
One last tip, if you are on a page and want to go back to the Home Page, simply click the words "Central Vancouver Island Orchid Society" at the top left corner of the page. This will take you back to the home page.
