Topic: "Rare Orchids of the Sky Islands"

Our speaker will be noted botanist and photographer Ben Rostron, who will be presenting "Rare Orchids of the Sky Islands".  Ben travels the world hunting and studying orchids, and has many interesting stories to tell! We're looking forward to a very interesting session!

The meeting will also feature our famous CVIOS Bag Draw! Please bring any plants or orchid related items you'd like to donate. And of course, our Society's many great cooks are always welcome to add some baking to the items up for grabs! Tickets are $1 each and all the money raised goes to our Speaker Fund. 

Also up for grabs: the last of Laurie Forbes's art collection. Laurie, a longtime member, is suffering ill health and has donated her plants and her paintings and prints to our Society. The remaining pieces of art will be available at the meeting by donation. A big thank you to Laurie for her generosity!

Doors open at 11:00 with a brief business meeting starting at 11:15 pm.

Whether you're a beginner or expert orchid grower, bring your questions. You will find our members very friendly and knowledgeable.
